[Class 131] In a hair clipper of the kind driven by an electric motor mounted in the body of the clipper and having a cap covering the end of the body the cap carries the supply terminals and switch so that the removal of the cap disconnects the supply terminals from the motor terminals and moreover exposes the end thrust bearings of the motor shaft for adjustment purposes. The armature shaft 10 of the motor 7, 9 is journaled in a bearing 11 carried by a transverse rib 12 of the body 5 and end play in the shaft 10 is adjusted by a screw 14. The terminal wires 19, 20 of the motor are soldered to spring clips 21, 22 inserted into holes 24 in the rib 12. The clips 21, 22 bear against pronglike terminals 25, 26 carried by the cap 16 which is secured by screws 17 on the body 5. The terminals 25, 26 are connected through a handswitch 27, 28 to the supply leads 18.
