[Class 4] An aeroplane has two wings B having lateral edges C to which are secured vertical fins supporting small wings K set at a greater angle of incidence than the wings B. For high speed flight the aeroplane is adjusted to fly with wings B at zero incidence, the whole lift being provided by the wings K. The wings may be transversely horizontal or set at a dihedral angle.
