摘要
569,125. Blade magazines for safety razor and like blades. HEIDE, H. C. (Gillette Safety Razor Co.). June 22, 1943, No. 1043/45. Divided out of 569,114. Drawings to Specification. [Class 18] A magazine for fine-edged blades such as safety razor blades comprises a slide 20 (see the Figure in Abridgment 569,114) engaging the lowermost blade of a stack 30 by means of a cam-shaped rib 22 which enters a medial slot in the blade, and a shoulder on the forward end of a second rib 23 which, when the slide is drawn outwards by means of wings on the front corners, propels the lowermost blade through a slit 14, meanwhile tilting the stack first in one direction and then in the opposite direction by means of the ribs. The slot 14 is widened at the centre to permit insertion of the slide. A spring 26 positions the stack, and parts 17 are provided on the lid to engage lateral projections on the rear end of the slide to prevent complete withdrawal. A single aperture at the front of the slide facilitates withdrawal of the ejected blade. Pins 15 on the bottom plate 10 engage recesses in the corners of the blades to position them, the slide being slotted to accommodate the pins. The magazine may be stamped from sheet metal and bent to shape or may be moulded from thermoplastic or thermosetting material. The cover plate fits into rabbets in the side and end walls and may be riveted or soldered in position. Specification 351,982, [Group XIV], is referred to.
