[Class 61 (ii)] A ploughing plane is provided with a cutter which is adjustable with relalation to the body of the plane to regulate the depth of groove cut. The plough consists of a base-plate 4 carrying pillars 5 which support a cross - plate 6 and handle 3. A carrier 8 slides on the pillars 5 and is adjustable by a screw 7 with regard to the base-plate 4. The carrier 8 has a blade 9 rivetted to it, having a V-shaped opening, on one side of which a cutter 10 is mounted and secured. The blade 9 passes through a longitudinal slot in the base-plate 4.
