[Class 66] The end 18 of the spout of an oil-can &c. screws into a collar 10 with a projection 11 screwing into the body of the can ; adjustment of the spout-end 18 controlling the opening of a valve, the plunger 22 of which is held against the end 18 by a compression spring 34. The sides of the plunger are grooved at 36 for passage of oil &c. to the spout which may be oval or square &c. The collar edge may be turned inwardly at 29 to prevent withdrawal of the spout. The appliance is designed to avoid oil from the spout leaking when the can is not in use.
