Improvements in and relating to engraving and like copying machines

[Class 100 (ii)] A copy-holder for an engraving or like copying-machine for engraving numerals &c., comprises a base-plate 3 adapted to be fixed relative to a given point on the machine, and a rotatable member 6 carrying a master copy 11, means being provided for determining the orientation of the member 6 relative to the baseplate 3, whereby a series of characters parallel to the same line, e.g. vertical numbers on a clock face, may be engraved. The member 6 is located in a zero position by an abutment 5 engaging a similar abutment on the machine, has a bevelled edge provided with a scale co-operating with a mark 13, and is secured in adjusted position by a clamp 14. A notched disc 16 co-operating with a pawl 17 provides means for setting the member 6. A numeral to be copied is clamped centrally in a diametrical groove 10 in the member 6.
