619,302. Suspending curtains. FRIDOLPH, A. E. Oct. 24, 1944, No. 36951/46. Convention date, June 25, 1942. Divided out of 619,215. [Class 52 (v)] Slider tape for supporting a curtain has slider members permanently secured to it at intervals, each member consisting of a thin body portion secured at one end to the tape and having at its other end a rigid head which is long in the direction of the tape and of width greater than the thickness of the body portion, thus enabling the body portion to extend through a slit in a co-operating track member so that the heads are received in line on the track. The slider member 16 is formed of a length of cloth tape 21 clamped in and folded around a channelled member 22 of metal or other material, the slider head being thus completely covered by fabric. In a modification (Fig. 10, not shown) the tape is in the form of a tube into which the metal is inserted and then bent to a channel shape. The sliders may be sewed directly to the top of the curtain or onto a length of tape 25. Figs. 6 and 8 show plastic slider members. 'Suitable track members for use with the slider members form subject-matter of Specification 619,215.
