775,733. Visible signalling apparatus. ELECTRIC MACHINERY MFG. CO. Aug. 15, 1955 [Aug. 30, 1954], No. 23406/55. Class 118 (2). [Also in Groups XXXV and XXXVII] A condenser 11 having a dielectric of barium titanate, or other ceramic material possessing a high degree of electro-strictivity, operates a snap-action contact 12 between fixed contacts 13, 14, whereby the condenser is alternately charged over resistor 21 and discharged into a load 24, such as a neon flashing tube. The charging source may be a reservoir condenser 20 permanently on charge, over a resistor 22, from batteries 17, 18. In a modified arrangement the connections are such that condenser 20 also discharges through the load.
