Class 120(2) In a ring frame for the wet-spinning of flax and other bast fibres, a mirror 30 is situated in front of the yarn path so as to reflect light on to the yarn in the space between the delivery rollers and the thread - guide 7, and is mounted so that it can be moved away to facilitate piecing- up. The mirror may be adjustably mounted near the top of a cover 20 enclosing the space between the thread-guide and the ring, and may take the form of a strip of polished metal in lengths each spanning a small number of spindles.
