In a universal joint having driving and driven shafts each provided with three radial arms 1, 2 respectively, the arms are secured to a disc 3 cast or moulded from polyurethane and having axially directed projections 4 engaged by frusto-conical metal caps 10 through which are passed bolts 7 carried by the arms, bushes 6 of lesser length than the bolts allowing the axial projections 4 to be prestressed on tightening the bolts.
