In a resilient rail-fastening device comprising a fastener A provided with a spring-blade 1 bearing at one end a on a rail flange and at the other end 3 on a sleeper T and having intermediate its ends an aperture 4 for a tightening device S an additional spring-steel blade 8, provided with a tightening-device aperture 9 and arranged to bear by its ends c, d on the blade 1, is of such a length that its end c is located in the vicinity of part 3 where the bending strain on the blade 1 is null and at the other end d beyond the portion of the blade 1 perpendicular to the edge 7 of the rail flange. The fastener shown is also provided with a lower blade 2 which bears against the edge 7 of rail flange. In a further embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the lower blade is omitted.
