Apparatus for injection moulding e.g. synthetic plastic soles and heels for shoes has a conveying system, Fig. 1, on which a series of mould assemblies, Fig. 3, are conveyed towards an injection moulding station 6, where they are displaced by a double acting pusher device 19 towards an injection device 20, the mould filled, and the assembly subsequently displaced from the station by an incoming assembly. Pusher devices 15 . . . 18 advance the assemblies in the required direction. The mould assembly, Fig. 3, which slides on rollers 4, has two lasts 32, 33 (for holding the shoe uppers) arranged so that a piston 31 forces last 33 downwards to complete the mould; injection takes place to form the sole and/or heel, after which the last is retracted together with the moulded part and the pistons are revolved about trunnions 29 by a rack and pinion arrangement 35; the operation then proceeds for last 32 and piston 30. The mould sections 21, 22 (Fig. 2) are operated by pneumatic cylinders 23, 24 through toggle links 25, 26. In a modification (Fig. 8, not shown) an endless horizontal conveyer of the roller type is provided. Another modification, Fig. 9, has inclined roller conveyers 46, 46a, 47 (seen in plan in Fig. 11, not shown). Mould assemblies 50 ejected from a lift 48 (dotted) slide on to the injection table 51 via conveyer 46, injection takes place and the assembly continues down conveyer 46a to platform 49 where it is raised to conveyer 47 and returned to the lift 48 (in full line position).
