961,683. Partitions. HOLLAND & HANNEN AND CUBITTS (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd., and R. NICHOLSON. May 15, 1962 [May 31, 1961], No. 19664/61. Heading E1V. A partition structure as described and claimed in Specification 875,704 is modified by the provision of a nut 8 on the screw threaded pin 2 having its top face abutting the bottom end of the hollow post member 1 so that the projection of the pin from the hollow member may be adjusted by turning the nut. The pin 2 and the bore 10 of the post member 1 are made of corresponding flattened cross-section to prevent rotation of the pin in the hollow member. The projecting part of the pin 2 below the bottom of the post 1 is covered by a short length 1SP1/SP of a hollow member having a crosssection similar to the post member 1 but modified in that one of the longitudinal channels extends inwardly, Fig. 4, to include the central bore so that the length 1SP1/SP can be moved laterally to embrace the projecting part of the pin 2. Skirting panels 26 are engaged and retained by the channels 12SP1/SP of the members 1SP1/SP. The gap between the partition panels 16 and the skirting panels is covered by facing plate panels 18. The edges of the partition and skirting panels have metal nosings such as shown at 27, Fig. 4.
