摘要
1,005,665. Knitting-machines. MANTA S.A. Dec. 29, 1961 [Dec.30, 1960], No. 46717/61. Heading D1C. A carriage for a straight-bed knitting-machine has cams movable transversely of the carriage base and electro magnets which provide abutments to maintain the cams at selected levels, mechanical means being provided to move the cams into a position projecting below the carriage during periods of reversal of the state of the electromagnets. A needle raising cam 20 and a clearing cam 21 are slidably mounted on guide pins 26, 36 and upwardly biased by springs 38. Cams 8 adjustably secured to the machine bed actuate a lever 7, when the carriage is at the bed end, to depress the cams to the level 42. During the carriage travel the cams 20, 21 are held by the springs at the level 42SP1/SP where cam lugs 22, 23 abut the rods 24, 25 of the electromagnets 13, 33 when these magnets are energized. Electromagnets 12, 32 have double the stroke of magnets 13, 33 and when energized their rods 43, 44 act on rods 24, 25, to maintain the cams at the lower level 42. The knitting cams on the carriage are movable parallel to the cam plate 19 by other electromagnets (not shown) to regulate the tightness of the finished article.
