摘要
A mixture for improving adherence of bituminous material to stones comprises (A) an anionic surface-active amine salt, and (B) a cationic surface-active agent. (A) is a salt of a water-soluble amine or polyamine with a lipophilic fatty or organo-substituted inorganic acid, in which all the primary amine groups have formed salts with organo-substituted inorganic acid. (B) is a lipophilic amine or polyamine, or an amide formed from a lipophilic or hydrophilic amine or polyamine and a carboxylic acid, or a lipophilic imidazoline, or salts of said compounds, or products formed by heating said salts. The stones to be treated may be alkaline earth or silicate stones. Amines used may be e.g. alkyl, polyalky, alkylol, or polyalkylol amines, or alkylene or polyalkylene polyamines. Organo-substituted inorganic acids may be e.g. alkyl sulphuric, sulphonic or phosphoric acids, and organic acids may be e.g. fatty, resin or naphthenic acids. Many examples of acids, amines, and substances (A) and (B) are listed, and formation of some substances (A) and (B) is described. In the examples, 0-5-0.75% (A) and (B) mixture is added to a cut-back bitumen, and 5% of the resultant composition is applied to dried stones, with or without water. Specification 472,632, U.S.A. Specifications 2,508,924, 2,663,648 and 2,891,873 are referred to.
