A foam laminate wearing apparel material comprises a foam layer having grooves in it bonded by adhesive to a knitted, netted or woven fabric. The grooves which may extend through the thickness of the material and which may run in two directions are made by the application of hot wires or discs to the foam. The exemplified foam is polyurethane but rubber may be used.
