1,058,939. Electromagnetic switches. AMPHENOL CORPORATION. Dec. 3. 1963, No.247771/63. Heading H2B. A switch for selectively interconnecting a plurality of radiofrequency lines comprises a circular metal plate 10 having a central cavity 12 and a number of peripheral cavities 13, each connected to the cavity 12 by a narrow radial channel 21. A fixed contact disc 22 in cavity 12 is carried on the central conductor of a coaxial connector 14 and each central conductor of coaxial connectors 15 is secured within a respective cavity 13 to a resilient blade 23 which extends along the associated channel 21 and carries a movable contact 24 overlying the disc 22. Electromagnets 33 with pivoted armatures 38 are mounted respectively above channels 21 such that energization of an electromagnet causes an insulating pin 44 to depress the associated blade 23 and engage its contact 24 with disc 22. Resistors 31 carried in a metal plug 19 (closing cavity 12) may terminate connectors 15 when blades 23 are unoperated.
