Gated electronic counters of the type described in the parent Specification in which each stage comprises a main store S A and an auxiliary store S H controlled respectively by main and auxiliary pulses t 1 , t 2 interlaced in time is modified in that these pulses are applied only to the lowest stage and that new signals # 1 # 2 are derived from the lowest stage for application to all the other stages in parallel. The circuits described are otherwise as in the parent Specification. A faulty t 1 or t 2 pulse affects the count without otherwise disturbing the apparatus.
