A retractile cord, e.g. for telephone handsets, has the cover material made form a composition comprising 100 parts by weight of terpolymer, comprising by weight 45 to 75% of propylene, less than 10% of a non-conjugated diene, the remainder ethylene, compounded with 50 to 200 parts by weight of filler, 20 to 100 parts by weight of plasticizer, 4 to 12 parts by weight of activator, 1 to 3 parts by weight of cross-linking agent and 1 to 3 parts by weight of accelerator.
