993,374. Combine-harvesters. RANSOMES SIMS & JEFFERIES Ltd. Dec. 12, 1963 [Dec. 14, 1962], No. 47318/62. Heading A1F. In a combine-harvester having a grain tank 17 the tank is disposed within an enclosing means 11 at an upper part of the harvester, there being defined between the enclosing wall and the grain tank a passage having an inlet and outlet, in which passage is disposed an enginecooling radiator 19 and fan 21, the fan serving to draw a stream of substantially dust-free air through the passage and across the radiator. The passage is formed between the front wall 12 of the enclosing means and the front wall of the tank 17, the latter wall being in two juxtaposed parts 24, 26 so arranged that the passage widens adjacent to the fan 21. The fan and radiator are located in the space between a side wall 22 of the tank and the side-wall 16 of the enclosing means, this space also accommodating the grain-feeding elevator 18 to the tank. The floor 23 of the tank slopes towards its centre line and accommodates an outlet auger feeding the delivery duct 28. The top of the passageway is formed by perforated plates 25, 29 which constitute the air-inlets to it. An outlet (not shown) is formed in the wall 22 adjacent to the fan and a further outlet is formed in the wall 16, the fan 21 being enclosed in a housing 32.
