[Also in Division G3] A mechanism for transmitting rotary motion from a first shaft 12 to a second, coaxial shaft 18 with initial lost motion comprises arms 22, 34 rigid with shafts 12, 18, respectively, and bifurcated links 26, 28 pivoted at their upper ends to the arms and at their lower ends to a common pin 30 on which is mounted a roller 37 guided in a cam slot 38 in a member 36. During initial rotation of shaft 12, roller 37 moves in a portion of slot 38 which is concentric with pivot pin 32 so that no rotation is transmitted to shaft 18. Further rotation of shaft 12 drives the roller into a vertical portion of the slot so that rotation is then transmitted to shaft 18. Member 36 is movable by an altitude responsive servo-device (see Division G3).
