Container, e.g. side walls are cast in annular shuttering 1, 2 supported from a central working platform 8, which is supported in turn by an axial post 4. A hand- (as shown) or powered winch 17 is attached, via a cable 18 running over the pulley at top of the post, to a spring-loaded pivoted lever 19 fixed to a sleeve 19' which rests on a collar 5 fixed to radial beams 6 supporting the sectorshaped platform components 7. The shutters are held apart by spacers 13, and supported by rods 9 passing through slots in the shutters, and fixed to the platform by brackets 10. The inner and outer shutters, which may each comprise one piece or a plurality of pieces connected together, are closed by a wedge-shaped plate fixed in edge grooves and a generally channel-sectioned member cooperating with L-sectioned flanges respectively. (Figs. 2, 6-8, not shown). The post may comprise sections spigoted. together, and each component 7 comprises transverse boards 24 interconnected by radial stiffeners 22 (Fig. 5, not shown). Clamps 36 (Fig. 10, not shown) may be fixed to upwardly projecting wall reinforcement to limit the vertical rise of each shuttering lift, and guard posts may be fitted to the outer shuttering.
