1,177,033. Decompression devices. MOTORENFABRIK HATZ G.m.b.H. March 14, 1968 [April 15, 1967], No. 12361/68. Heading F1K. A decompression device for valve controlled internal combustion engines, particularly injection internal combustion engines, has a decompression cam 8 acting on the rocker 6 of the engine valve gear, this cam being rotatable either by hand or by an automatic device so as to cut-off the decompression. A device which atuomatically terminates the decompression action comprises a driving member 10 which is coupled to the decompression cam and an actuating member 13 which co-operates with this driving member. The decompression cam and the driving member are non-rotatably arranged on a decompression spindle 9. When protracted lifting of the exhaust valve is required the hand adjusting lever 12 is operated. The abutment member (not shown) is moved from the flat 31 of the decompression cam to the cylindrical part of the latter and the exhaust valve is opened.
