1,178,958. Concentrating A.H.F. BAXTER LABORATORIES Inc. 1 May, 1968 [1 May, 1967], No. 20604/68. Heading A5B. Antihemophilic Factor (A.H.F.) is obtained in more concentrated form by precipitating a redissolved cryoprecipitate of A.H.F. with aqueous glycine and/or polyethylene solutions. The cryoprecipitate may be formed by cooling human blood plasma e.g. to -20‹C to -40‹C followed by slow thawing to about 4‹C. The precipitate is dissolved in glycine citrated saline and the precipitant is added. The precipitate is collected and may be redissolved and reprecipitated using the other precipitant and/or subjected to an additional purification step by adsorption on and ellution from a chromatographic column of "Eoteola" cellulose resin.
