We Claim: 1. The continuous level indicator for solids and liquids comprising a square wave generator of variable frequency followed by an emitter follower amplifier for shaping the said square waves, the out put of the said amplifier being fed to a Transistor switch in such a way that the said switch being opened in the first half cycle of the said square wave and closed in the next half cycle of the said square wave, the out put of the said switch being connected to the sensing electrode through a charging diode in such a way that the capacitor formed by the said electrode with respect to the body of the container being charged when the said switch is opened and being discharged through a blocking diode and a meter when the said switch is closed.
