摘要
1,131,661. Polymer articles: EASTMAN KODAK CO. 16 March, 1966 [17 March, 1965], No. 11414/66. Heading C3P. Articles are made of compositions comprising a blend of unilaterally oriented polymer and a filler comprising a rubber or talc which prevents fibrillation. Preferred polymers are polyolefins, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene and ethylene/propylene copolymers. Specified rubbers are polyisobutylene and ethylene/propylene copolymer and terpolymer rubbers. The articles may be binding straps, sheets, bags, cords, rods, filaments or tapes. Orientation may be effected by stretching in a ratio of 10 : 1 to 15 : 1. Examples describe straps made of compositions comprising polypropylene and (I and III) polyisobutylene, and (II) talc.
