Preparation contg. (in pts. wt. saccharin 100, d-galactose 20-50, and opt. NaCl 10-40, and Ca(OH)2 1-5, pref. with addition of an edible, soluble carbohydrate carrier (esp. saccharose, dextrose or sorbitol, in an amount of 0.7-1g per. 0.042g of the active sweetening agent) dissolves instantaneously in cold and hot media. The bitter after-taste of pure saccharin is eliminated.
