Pour point depressants - for paraffinic crude oils consisting of mixed ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers

The pour point depressants contain a mixture of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers of mol. wts. around 3,000 and 9,000 in wt. ratios between 1:2 and 1:8. - Addition of 0.001 to 0.5% (pref. 0.05 to 0.1%) to paraffinic crude oils reduces the pour point and improves the pumping properties when passed through pipelines, making periodic closure for removal of paraffin wax or special heating equipment unnecessary.
