Synthetic yarn texturising device is modified to bring the practical texturising index closer to the theoretical twisting index by associating the pair of double flanged rollers driven frictionally by the texturised yarn with a third roller, the roller axes being disposed at the corners of an isosceles triangle and the third roller is journalled on a pair of arms such that it can be brought selectively into contact with the pair of rollers on their diametrically opposite sides to impart oppositely directed twists to the yarns.
