1287318 Ampoules EUGENE-GALLIA 29 Oct 1970 [31 Oct 1969] 51400/70 Heading B8C A glass ampoule 1 having a neck and head portion 2 and 3 is provided with a cap of plastics material 8 which fits closely over the ampoule head and is fixed thereto, and is in contact with the shoulder of the body at its lower end. It may be fixed by forcing into place whilst hot and allowing it to cool or by any other suitable means. Thus, in an alternative embodiment (see Fig. 1, not shown), the cap has inwardly pointing projections which abut against the ampoule neck below the wide portion 3. The ampoule has a score mark or line of incipient weakness within the region covered by the cap, so that it can be opened by the application of flexion to the cap.
