Tire construction featuring as the principal reinforcement a combination of chopped bundles or cords, each composed of an assembled plurality of glass filaments held together, and chopped discrete glass filaments distributed throughout the rubbery matrix generally uniformly, preferably at a level of about 2 to about 35 parts of glass per 100 parts of rubber and preferably with the bundles exceeding the discrete filaments in amount on a weight basis.
