The moulds are attached to the ends of arms from a rotating shaft. They are brought up to an extruder head, grip a length of extruded tubing which enters the mould and is inflated; they are finally cooled and the blow mouldings are released. The mould carriers, however, are also driven by radial bearers which have an automatic coupling and uncoupling system. At the extruder head they are uncoupled so as to pause in position. Thereafter the bearers recouple and accelerate their peripheral movement to a uniform angular distance from adjacent mould carriers.
