Compsns. contain a cycloaliphatic imidazolin-2-one-1-carboxylic acid amide of formula (I): where R = cyclohexyl or cyclopentyl; and 3-cyclohexyl-5-,6-trimethylene-6-hydroxy-5,6-dihydro-uracil of formula (II): in a prefd. ratio (I)/(II) = 1.5:1 to 9:1. (II) is prepd. by adding 3-cyclohexyl-2.3. 4.5.6.7-hexahydro-cyclopenta e -1.3-oxazindione-(2) to NH3 and stirring. The compsns. have strongly systemic selective herbicidal activity in beet cultures with much lower phytotoxicity to beet plants than known herbicides. In concentrations of more than 25 kg/ha the compsns. have total herbicidal activity. For selective use the application is normally 0.1-5 kg/ha.
