One part of synthetic resin-hardener mixture is reinforced with 1-10 pts. wt. of powdered tin and after hardening the surface is mechanically finished e.g., turned. Pref. the mixture is centrifuged before hardening and lead and/or tungsten-rubber can be added to the damping substance to increase sound absorption.
