Sterile food packaging plant - enabling long term storage without refrigeration or chemical preservatives

The packing machine proper is placed under a transparent cover with glove box type manipulators for the operator who loads presterilised containers and lids in stacks and takes the containers from the stacks placing them in a conveyor which takes them past the filling nozzles to the lid placing and sealing mechanisms and then ejects them. The food is presterilised and the machine is within a clean room with an overpressure of 6-40 milibars, a separated feed from the air purifier/filter going to the packing machine and biocide, esp. iodine, soln. spray nozzles placed in the clean room, the filling zone and the air duct to that zone.
