Lessivators for wood pulp - operating in series

Title devices are fed with high and low press. steam via pref. respective control valves from main feed lines in which flow rate and pressures are pref maintained, and the energy consumption of the lessivators is monitored by a control device which so controls the steam supply to the lessivators that the total energy consumption does not exceed an experimentally determined value. Pref. one of the lessivators is taken as a control and the supply to the other lessivators adjusted accordingly.
