Comonomers used in examples are vinylidene chloride, propylene, butene-2, butyl acrylate and styrene; reactive comonomers are introduced progressively. Homo-telomers are also formed. Telogens used are carbon tetrachloride, hexachloroethane, and benzyl chloride and as solvents, isopropanol, methanol, ethanol, isobutanol, ethyl- 2-hexanol and acetonitrile. The presence of water is avoided. Reported molecular weights range from 416 to 1350.
