Hot embossing conical knobs - using revolving conical roller running on plane surface

An appts. for hot-embossing steeply conical components such as knobs, comprises a roller, also generally conical in shape, mounted on an inclined axis fixed eccentrically on a turntable; the inclined axis points inwards towards the centre of the turntable, so that as the turntable revolves, the workpiece fitted over the conical roller runs along the underside of an embossing sheet lowered from above in the manner of a bevelled gear running over a plane disc. The roller may be eccentrically weighted, so that it returns automatically to its starting posn. when the embossing process has been completed.
