Free-flowing granulates consisting of encapsulated materials, esp. pharmaceuticals and plant protection agents, foodstuffs and food supplements, e.g. spices, flavours or aromas, dyes and pigments, chemicals, lubricants, oils, rubber adjuvants, e.g. curing agents and vulcanisation promoters, and catalysts, are prepd. by dissolving or dispersing liquid or solid chemical products in a homogeneous liquid mixt. consisting of an organic water-miscible solvent (I) and a solvent-miscible opt. molten protective material (II) pref. using 0.1-20 (0.1-3) x amount (I) w.r.t. (II); and introducing mixt. obtd. into water, with stirring, at temps. below solidification temp. of mixt.
