Recording device using electron beam - has electron beam sharply focussed and controlled by electric and magnetic fields

The writing surface of the device temporarily visibly changes at points hit by the beam. The writing surface is in the form of an endless running band, driven by a transport device at an adjustable speed; the band is coated with a material which lights up with an afterglow at points hit by the electron beam; the band is coated with alkali halogenide crystals, and a heating device for it is provided, by which the crystal colouring hit by the beam can be removed; the device can be used for recording of heart currents.
