Plastic window-frame profile for putty-free glazing - giving contact-seal at hollow space bottom and at pane-edge

An elastic profile is provided at the glass support edge in the lower zone, facing the pane. This gives a contact seal at the bottom of the hollow space as well as at the edge of the pane, the glass support ledge being fixed to the frame-profile. The elastic profile is pref. extruded on to the glass support ledge. In this way, an adequate seal is created against air passage and water intrusion with largely pressure-free dry glazing, with the required dehydration of the hollow space in the glass groove. The method is simple, requires little time for glazing and makes the use of economic support-ledges possible.
