Inter-level conveyance for cabin station - has lift cubicle raised and opened simultaneously with cabin arrival

The installation is for use in conjunction with urban rapid transit cabin-track transport systems, where the station is sited a considerable distance above or below street level, for the required inter-level movement of passengers and/or goods. The lift-shaft is housed in a compact building which also contains an emergency staircase, the lift cubicle serving also as a waiting-room. Controls provide for its synchronised movement up or down to station level as a transport cabin is arriving, and for simultaneous opening of doors in lift cubicle, station and cabin. There may be an emergency passage to the staircase between the lift and the cabin stopping place. Min. ground area is used, and the safety and comfort of passengers are enhanced.
