Fibrous mats for pressed moulded articles - with elastic support layer bonded to two lignocellulose fibre layers

Fibrous mats for dry prodn. of pressed moulded articles consist of a mouldable, elastic support layer bonded on both faces to preconsolidated lignocellulose fibre layers, and prepressed to form a plurality of regularly distributed zones with a thinner cross-section. The mats can be strongly deformed, e.g., wound off a drum, withoug harming the uniform fibre distribution and possess sufficient tensile strength for continuous processing at high speeds.
