Capacitor cover plate with overpressure protection - has overpressure prechamber(s) for transferring overpressure to sealing spokes for leads shearing off

The capacitor colour plate has an overpressure protection for shearing off the leads. The generated overpressure inside the capacitor housing is transmitted over overpressure prechambers to a structure of sealing spokes, so as to actuate a rotary motion of an element which effects the shearing off of the lead wires. Alternately the overpressure is transmitted to a wing spoke, mounted in a pocket shaped recess. This spoke is then directly set into rotary motion for the wires shearing off. The overpressure protection device may form part of the capacitor cover plate, or it may be in the form of a separate structure independent of the cover plate.
