The generator tube is mounted between two independent blocks, one containing a heater transformer and a cathode high voltage transformer, and the other containing the high voltage anode transformer. These are screwed on to the tube itself. The anode circuit is attached via a heavy base and rubber connectors to a base ring for handling purposes. Around this combination a glass fibre tube fits and around this, in turn, an outer protection tube fits snugly, covering the whole arrangement. To the top of this outer tube a further handling ring is attached via rubber insulators. The device may be tested at a reduced voltage when the outer cover is removed for easy maintainance work.
