Spool for automatic weaving machines - with sleeve from 'reflex' material enabling automatic change of spools

Spool for automatic weaving machines consists of a base supporting a shaft of smaller diameter than the base. Adjoining the base is a cylindrical section of the shaft with a shoulder facing tapered end of the spool. The cylindrical section of the shaft is provided with circumferential slot which is covered by a sleeve from 'Reflex' material which with one rounded end is resting on the base and with other end positioned in line with the shoulder. The sleeve is either transparent or coated with layer of transparent material and is provided with number of round through holes or slots overlapping round its circumference. The sleeve in conjunction with an electro optical feeler enables an automatic change of spools.
