The flame tube in the gas turbine combustion chamber is provided with an air eddying element arranged on its dome. This element comprises a cover plate surrounding the injection nozzle and a number of radial guide vanes positioned between the cover plate and the dome so as to form ducts for the primary air flow. The vanes may be pivoted at their inner ends on a pitch circle at the edge of the combustion chamber entrance. The cover plate may be adjustable in height and be provided with radial slots to receive non-adjustable guide vanes fixed to the dome.
