The temperature control switch is intended for the temperature region from 0 to 35 deg. C and has a stressed bimetal strip which has mutually prestressed shanks, formed by a longitudinal slot, and connected at the free ends by a clamping stirrup to a moving switching contact. The bimetal strip is firmly clamped at its base. Inside the longitudinal slot abuts transversely to the slot longitudinal plane an adjustable setting pin. In addition to and independently of the longitudinal bending of the bimetal strip shanks, it is provided with an additional longitudinal curvature by embossing. The abutting surface of the clamp for the bimetal strip base is inclined in the longitudinal direction of the switch insulator.
