Clothes drier, articulated to a wall framework and provided in known manner with a fold-down chassis with suspension elements for articles of underwear or clothing as well as a ventilating device, is mounted on the wall frame, while the fold-back chassis has a hood which, when the drier is in use, covers the suspension elements and encloses, at least partially, the outlet of the ventilating device which more especially is enclosed in a box mounted on the wall frame. Enables the weight and robustness of the fold-down chassis and hence its cost to be considerably reduced, whilst facilitating exchange or servicing of the ventilating, heating, and temp. control units. It can also be used for space heating without using the equipment as a whole.
