A mudguard support rod (2) is bent in the centre, and the two ends (3) and (4) are intended to be fixed to the front or rear fork. The bent part has a buckle (6) which is almost at right angles to ends (3) and (4) and which allows fitting to the mudguard (1) by means of a screw (7) and nut (8). The support rod also forms the support for the headlamp. The metal support (10) of the lamp is forked and clamped between the mudguard (1) and the buckle (6), using the screw (7) and nut (8). The mudguard may be a conventional plastic type and the support rod ensures that lamp is not supported solely by the mudguard.
